How to Find the Highest Paying Google Ads for Your Current Website Articles
Okay, this is a real gem, and another screaming MADMAN search engine marketing secret. Or maybe it’s a Super Google adsense payout NINJA trick… Well, whatever it is, you’re going to make money.
First of all, if you have a blog and don’t use Google ads on it, my question to you would be, “Hello…Is anybody home?”
Google adsense is one of the easiest ways to make money now, while you are writing articles, doing other freelance work, or finding ways to drive traffic to your website–and it’s free! How can you pass it up? I’ve heard some of the reasons. Let’s see, what were they…
I don’t want to put Google ads on my site because it will look cluttered.
I don’t want to use Google adsense because my blog will lose it’s integrity.
You can’t really make enough money with Google ads for it to amount to anything.
or how about...Yea, I really should try that. How do I put Google Adsense on my blog?
All poor excuses. But hey, who am I to call you a dummyhead for not wanting to make some free money? You probably don’t pick up pennies off the sidewalk either. But for those of you who DO want to learn an easy trick to make money now with Google ads, here it is.
I used to think that just putting that Google adsense box on my blog was all I had to do. After doing some research, I realized that ‘not all Google adsense boxes are created equal.’ Depending on what your niche website is about, there are certain keywords you can use in your article writing that will cause the Google ads that display next to the article to be worth more money. They will have higher CTR’s or ‘click through rates.’ I never knew this existed, but when I found out, I began to optimize my website (this one) right away. You can increase your Google adsense earnings by over 400% just by finding out what the highest earning keywords are.
Still don’t get it? That’s okay, I’m about to give you a step-by-step tutorial, so you can JUST DO IT, whether you understand how it works or not….and here it is:
- Go to Google’s Keyword Tool, located at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
- On the left, it will ask How Would You Like to Generate Keyword Ideas–Select Website Content
- Enter your web URL in the space provided
- Click ‘Get Keyword Ideas’
- Select ‘Show All’ from the drop down menu
- Check the box ‘Group keywords by common terms’
- Under the heading ‘Calculate Estimates using Max CPC’ select $USD
- In the empty box to the right enter ’100′ and click ‘Recalculate’
- Done…Now view the columns below. They will show the estimated CPC for each keyword
- Click on the column title ‘Estimated Avg CPC’ to sort by highest price first. (You may need to click it twice)
- Now, browsing down the page you have a goldmine of information. Under each relevant heading is your list of keyword ideas with CPC amounts listed right next to them.
- Write down all the keyword ideas that are $10 and above
- Go back to your website and rewrite parts of your articles to include these higher paying Google adsense keyword phrases. This will make a huge difference in the payout of your Google ads. Using the higher paying keyword phrases will cause the ads placed next to your articles to have higher paying click through amounts.
- If you really want to optimize your pages like a MADMAN, enter the URL of each individual article from your website or blog, and repeat this process rewriting or editing your content to match the highest paying adsense keyword phrases for each page.
There you have it. Now you are a Google adsense keyword payout NINJA… Congratulations!
Just as a sidenote: Before I wrote THIS article, I followed the steps outlined above because I wanted to be able to show you how easy it is to incorporate the keyword phrases into your articles. Here is the list of the phrases I chose, the payout amount of each phrase, and the number of times I used each phrase in this article:
- search engine marketing / $10.65 / 3 Also named photo this phrase
- google ads / $18.44 / 8
- google adsense / $14.59 / 10
- make money now / $8.81 / 4

Making money with Adsense it’s becoming harder and harder. Couple of years ago, Adsense program was really hot
Nowdays, affiliate earnings are much more rewarding. More and more publishers go into CPA networks everyday. Adsense is paying penny per clicks .. Too bad .. I actually enjoyed it while it lasted.
I use adsense, but I didn’t think of using the keyword search that way. Great idea! I’ll get started on it within the next few days.

Nice tutorial! I have used the Google Adwords Tool for keyword research in the past, but only for article topics. Never realized how profitable it can make your blogs! Once I get my niche blogs going, I will be referring back to this post for sure!

Hmm, I just tried this on my blog (had to use IE for some reason). However, sad news, nothing is even close to $10. The highest one was $7 and it was Google Books. About 80% of the keywords are ones I already use frequently anyway. I’m not entirely surprised though that adverts on a book blog would bring in less than those on this blog, which is a much more popular topic. It also explains why I earn less than a dollar a month from Adsense.
I’m sure private advertising would be better suited for my type of blog, but I don’t have the traffic to attract advertisers yet. At least now I have a good list of keywords to keep on hand, even if it won’t exponentially raise my adsense earnings.

I’m still working on my blogs, but I also have lofty income goals like you and appreciate any tips you have to offer.
Diana: No kidding! When I found out about it, I went crazy….l couldn’t believe it could be so easy to double, triple or more your Adsense earnings. Currently I’m pulling in about $2 per day with Adsense on this site, which isn’t much…but it’s pretty new. So, just think…wow, from $60 per month to $260 and beyond. My goal is to have 10 niche websites, each pulling in at least $400 per month in adsense alone. When that happens all the rest will be gravy. $4000 per month sounds good to me!
You rock! I’m doing this asap today for my whole blog.

MomIsWrite: Using this tool for what YOU use it for is something I haven’t thought of. I’m starting to use Ezine Articles for linkbacks (although this is so difficult for me because I like to use my articles on MY OWN site…kind of dumb, I know) but anyhoo….I am now going to use YOUR idea to find good subjects and keywords for ezine articles…You are such a smarty pants. So there back at ya!
Yay! Thanks so much for this, I’ve just started getting familiar with the Adwords tool and I did not know I could use it in this context (so far I was just using it for researching high CPC keywords with good search volume and low competition for articles at eHow and S101).
Robin, I’ve been casually following your journey since you joined wahm.com and I’m so impressed with your determination and attitude. So there.
