Using Keywords to Optimize Your Web Pages is Vitally Important

Search Engine Optimization (SEO), is vital if you want to increase your position in the Google rankings. In order to gain more visits to your website you will need to adopt an effective SEO plan. keyword phrases

When writing your articles, powerful headlines are important, however, content and the placement of your keywords is the most important element in order to increase traffic to your site. Think of it in two ways: First, provide engaging, intelligent, and cutting edge articles for your readers and second, make sure there are enough naturally placed keywords to rank with the Google gods.

So, what is the formula for deciding on and placing the keywords throughout the article? When deciding on keywords, think like the ‘search engine visitor’. Think to yourself, “What keywords would I put into the Google search in order to find what I was looking for if I needed to read this article?” The answer to that question involves deciding the exact point or subject matter of your article and then choosing a few keyword phrases (2-4 words in length) that you would use to find the subject of the article.

Action words are very effective as keywords. Research has shown that individuals have a tendency to use them. The action words can be anything from a phrase or a string of words asking for some object. Keep this in mind when creating your article to ensure better click-through rates and more traffic to your site. This is a very good marketing strategy.

It is important to realize that the spiders searching your content pages do nothing but return your keyword phrases and word combinations. This should help you to realize the importance of every keyword phrase used on an optimized page. If you master this fact then it won’t be hard for you to easily and naturally implement your keyword phrases appropriately throughout your articles.

After writing an article, read it over to see where you could possibly add a keyword phrase in place of another set of words you have used. Making these small adjustments make a huge difference in the long run. This isn’t a complicated process, but it is extremely important.

This is the reason why identifying your target reader is so important. If you have a good understanding of who is reading your articles, you will be in a better position to identify the key phrases that will optimize your web site or blog. Adding a plug-in that tracks your visitors is a valuable tool, as it also will tell you what Google keyword phrases were searched for a visitor to end up on your page.

Also remember that the Title Tag of the web page or blog post is very important. Try to create a catchy title that will draw the reader in to your site. Always keep your title, keywords, and your description restricted to the individual page on which you are working. Avoid repeatedly using the same description for every page.

A perfect tool to help with this (if you are using a WordPress blog) is the SEO All-in-one plug-in. It has spaces to plug in your keywords, write your article description (which should be kept under 160 words) and a place for your meta-tag article title.

Keyword phrases are one of your most important tools when optimizing your web pages. Keep them in mind when constructing your article and you will see your Google rankings rise.

Though I write SEO content and I know all of this, I admit that I really don’t pay as much attention to it when I’m blogging. (You can kick me now)

Great post…I completely agree with you. You can have the best information in the world, but if you don’t have the right keywords strategically placed in your article, no one will ever see it.
