I’m always excited to blog when things are hopeful and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. If you’ve been following along with my 30 day challenge I’m sure you’ve wondered if time had a different meaning to me. The last three days of the challenge have taken me a week to write!
Well, here I am bursting with good news. I have been researching and digging, twisting and squeezing tons of information and I’m happy to say that I’m finally seeing results.
First of all, if you’ve just tuned in…quick recap:
30 days to blogging success or actually making a chunk of money. So far we’ve discussed traffic building and I have signed up with Squidoo and Blog Carnival.
Haven’t had the chance to check back with my Squidoo page (or lens, as they call it in Squid-land) but I am happy…no, I am elated to report that Blog Carnival is quite a find! It is a huge directory of blogs and once a person signs up, adds all their info etc…the basic premise is to submit your articles to other bloggers who publish eMag (some are quite popular) and you’ll up your traffic almost immediately.
Not only has this worked for me, but I am also publishing my own eMag (premier issue comes out on March 20th) and I already have over 15 articles that were submitted to from other writers…(if you don’t have the foggiest idea what I’m talking about you’ll need to familiarize yourself with Blog Carnival). Anyway, it works…so if you have a blog and want to see a traffic increase, sign up.
Moving right along, the next step to traffic building is article submissions. Most bloggers are familiar with eZinearticles and Associated Content for article submission but there are more places out there…I have obtained a list along submission sites and after researching and reading forums for days and hours I have decided AGAINST using an automatic article submission program. From everything I’ve heard, they are not reliable and many times your article just gets bumped. Manual submission (ugh) is the way to go and I am toying with a couple of programs that help speed this process along. More to report on that issue soon, but for now I am sharing the list of sites to submit to, and here it is (they are in order according to rankings):
